To coincide with Out of Ice, Reading and Exhibiting Nature is a three-day international conference examining how nature is being understood in contemporary cultural and artistic production, organised in collaboration with the Centre for Research and Education in Arts and Media (CREAM) of the University of Westminster.

With a keynote presentation by acclaimed anthropologist and author Tim Ingold, Reading and Exhibiting Nature also includes presentations by environmental artists Marek Ranis and Mariele Neudecker; Julie Decker, curator and Director of Anchorage Museum, Alaska; Lake Ellsworth geo-scientist Martin Siegert; glaciologist Tony Payne; anthropologists Jo Vergunst and Suna Christensen; Inupiaq poet Joan Navlyuk Kane; Inuit explorer Karo Thomson Fleischer; and Katherine Heron, Professor of Architecture, University of Westminster.
